THE DELA WEEKLY

Starting this week I will change from doing an artist card every day to creating a piece of artwork once a week 8" x 10" (or larger) and post it as "THE DELA WEEKLY". I will be doing this the whole month of March.
Here is an example of what you might see:

Tonight we were a vendor at the Blue Valley Parents Night Out put on by Gail's Scoop www.gailsscoop.com. Little Masters...big art had an artist card drawing and the winner received a gift certificate for a free session of art classes for their kiddo. While we were there, I drew my own artist card. Thanks again Gail for the opportunity, we met a lot of wonderful people tonight!

This piece is 10" x 20" and done with Acrylic Paste, Gouache and Oil Based Marker. I loved working on this because of the thick paste and it's very, very thick with lots of texture (Which is hard to catch with a photo).

THE DAILY DELA - 2/22/11

Okay...this art card is Taven (Our 5 year old son) in about 5 years or myself about 25 years ago. It's kind of creepy to project how much Taven is going to look like me. I was attempting to make Taven about 10 years old and Skylee said it looked like me. I wonder what he's listening to?
