This is a commissioned piece done for a friend and is the 13th hole at Augusta called "Azaleas". The piece is 18" x 24" and done with latex house paint, gauche, acrylic and oil based marker. I was going for an impressionistic feel with some Warhol pop.

Here is your first DELA WEEKLY.
I re-created the "Artist Cup of Joe" in a larger size 11" x 14". It was done with old house paint, Slip Plate Graphite (That is some REALLY cool stuff which you'll be seeing more of), White Acrylic Paint, Gouache Paint and Oil Pastels.

PLEASE READ: The Matte is straight, the amateur photographer (UMM ME) didn't shoot it straight.

Tonight we were a vendor at the Blue Valley Parents Night Out put on by Gail's Scoop www.gailsscoop.com. Little Masters...big art had an artist card drawing and the winner received a gift certificate for a free session of art classes for their kiddo. While we were there, I drew my own artist card. Okay...this art card is Taven (Our 5 year old son) in about 5 years or myself about 25 years ago. It's kind of creepy to project how much Taven is going to look like me. I was attempting to make Taven about 10 years old and Skylee said it looked like me. I wonder what he's listening to?

The banana - for the kiddos who were in my drawing classes, they know all about the banana. We drew the banana, then we drew the banana and then guess what we drew next...the banana. Since my last class today was drawing, I felt it was only right to draw the banana.

Today's Daily Dela is titled "All About the Teddy". I went with the teddy bear because it was all about the bear in our preschool class today. We talked about the bear, read about the bear, changed the colors of the bear and drew the bear.

Monster Jam...That was my day today! The family went to see the Monster Jam today and Kristen (My wife) said they should have a monster truck called "Soccer Mom". We then thought "how cool would it be to have a mini van monster truck". Therefore, this piece is the first sketch of what "Soccer Mom" might look like.

I drew a sick person in a hospital today...well because I spent most of my day in the hospital while my dear wife was having her gall bladder removed. This image was drawn in the family waiting room while she was in surgery. The only medium I had available was a pencil, marker and red colored pencil.

I, Ken Dela am the main instructor (Owners husband) for Little Masters...big art which is held in "The Art House". We have been developing Little Masters...big art, which is a an art program for children, for about 2 years.
